I loved taking Lindsey and Brian’s family photos this spring! Returning to Washington as a photographer in Snohomish has meant working with dear friends. Lindsey has been a good friend of my family’s for years, and attended Snohomish High School with my three older brothers. It was so good to see her beautiful family and spend the evening running in the green hills with them!
This session was in Woodinville, just 15 minutes outside of Snohomish. We are so blessed in the Pacific Northwest to never have to go far for beautiful locations! The soft overcast light was perfect, and created the most gorgeous colors. It’s no secret how much I love to photograph greens and blues, so this session has quickly become one of my favorites!

I approach family photos very differently now that I’ve become a parent- Lindsey’s youngest daughter is only a few months younger than my own toddler, and at that age you just can’t ask them to sit and smile! My family sessions are very child led, literally! We followed the girls around as they explored the hills and I encouraged Lindsey and Brian to just be playful and interact naturally with their girls. Occasionally we would ask them to look at me and get their attention, but for the most part I just captured their authentic family dynamics in the beautiful Woodinville scenery.

One of my favorite things about this location in the spring is the buttercups that spring up! It’s magical to see toddlers and little ones pick the flowers and sit amongst the fields. For family sessions, it’s crucial to find safe, accessible locations that are easy and enjoyable for the entire family to navigate. I always want to create the most comfortable environment possible so that your photos are a true reflection of your family!

I so enjoyed documenting the Wolfe family on this perfect Washington spring evening! If you’re looking for colorful, bright, and natural family photos in Snohomish County, let’s work together! Contact me at my website, and we’ll create magic together.
